Ozymandias, or Ramses II, ruled Egypt from 1279 BC to 1212 BC. His empire spanned Libya to Iraq, and Turkey south to Sudan. Proclaiming himself the "king of kings," he built more monuments and temples, ruled larger territory, fought longer wars, took more wives and concubines, and sired more children than any other pharoah on record. Today, his pyramid tomb crumbles to bits and sits half buried in the Egyptian sand. The inscription reads: If anyone would know how great I am and where I lie, let him surpass any of my works. NetherCraft's compelling memorial of labors lost to time will remind you to treasure every day for the potential it brings, for it is all too fleeting. Let this watchful Eye of Ozymandias inspire you to levels of greatness as you meet his challenge to rise up in your own empire. |
