Pennsic ShadowClans Cathedral
length: 24 feet
width: 42 feet
height: 21 feet

Tomak designed the Pennsic ShadowClans Cathedral, featuring two 7-foot rose windows, four flying buttresses, and a vaulted ceiling. This cathedral was created to deepen the medieval experience of all who come to Pennsic.

The Cathedral floor plan is a T-shape, with the wider top of the T facing the road. Once visitors have passed through the front entrance hall, three choices are presented. To the right is a staircase leading to the open-air second level, to the left is a tower interior lit by stained glass, and straight ahead is a hall ending at an offering altar. There are two rear exits leading to the left and right, flanked by the flying buttresses. The tower walls include six stained glass window panels in acrylic, depicting scenes from history or myth. The front rose window includes 1400 colored panels.

Walls are made of vacuumformed plastic panels up to 4 by 8 feet, set over a frame of wood. A project of this scale could not have been possible without the dedicated support and hard work of the ShadowClans household and Baron Johann. Tomak is deeply indebted to all those who helped bring this design to reality.
